June 30th : Tony Liggins' visit to Waddesdon to play Scott Widdowson in the County Singles 2nd round proved fruitless, with the Waddesdon man proving too strong.
Better news in the Over 60's Pairs, where Del Behenna and Tony Liggins travelled to Marlow BC to take on Bob Broad and Brian Jones. Del and Tony held an 8 shot advantage after 10 ends, but the Marlow pair fought back to halve that deficit with 3 ends to play. 3 tight heads followed, but it was Tony and Del who claimed a 15 - 10 win. They now progress to the Area Final, (last 64 nationally), where they will play Graham Line and partner at Bletchley Town Bowls Club, on Friday 11th July at 1 pm.
