June 20th : Tony Liggins and Del had a thrilling match at Newport Pagnell on the 17th June in the Senior Pairs, against Ted Miller and Malcolm Pratt. After 16 of the 18 ends had been completed, Tony and Del had picked up singles on 9 ends, but the Newport Pagnell pair led 12 - 9. Good bowling from our boys saw the score levelled at 12 apiece with just one end to play, and with the home team holding shot, Del trailed the jack with his penultimate bowl and that proved to be good enough to take victory by 3 shots 15 - 12.
Through to the County semi finals, they now face another away tie at Marlow on Monday 30th June at 6 pm
A home game in the Senior Singles quarter finals this afternoon, saw Del up against Stephen Mcalister from Gerrards Cross. Stephen proved just too consistent for Del and ran out the 21 - 10 winner.
