September 18th : Four triples travelled to Chess Vale to play on their artificial surface green. It was a beautiful afternoon for bowling, but Home advantage was at a premium and those not accustomed to playing on carpet struggled. The result was a comfortable win for Chess Vale by 86 shots to 47. We had one winning triple, just, when Captain Tony Lambert, Brendan McGinty and Tony Liggins prevailed by a single shot, 15 - 14.
