August 27th : The final week of the Ray Keen League and it was great news for the club.
Division 5 Winners were Risboro Raiders, who completed their season with a 17 - 14 win at Cheddington. They won 7 of their 8 games to gain promotion to Division 4 next year.
In Division 4, Risboro B also gained promotion when they scored an 18 - 13 win over Wingrave Woodchuckers.
They won 6 of their 8 games and finished 5 points clear at the top of the table.
In the top division, Risboro A lost by just 3 shots to Cheddington Bees and finished 3rd in their league.
Central Area League Champions were: Division 1 : Crendon Evans Above
Division 2 : Aylesbury Ducks
Division 3 : Crendon Usual Suspects
Division 4 : Risboro B
Division 5 : Risboro Raiders
This very popular league, with 5 areas and 23 divisions, goes from strength to strength. Any Risborough members who are not already involved and would like to be next year should contact Del. Perhaps we could field four teams in 2026.
