MAY 5th : The guarantee of a lot of laughs and keen competition are just two of the reasons that we always look forward to the annual visit of the Ad Finem Bowls Association. This year was no exception. Although Princes Risborough ran out victors by 82 shots to 80, it was a 30 shots to 5 landslide by Clive Walters, Sue Ablett and Steve Woodley which made all the difference. Indeed , Ad Finem were on top in all of the other four rinks, so they were claiming the win. No chance!
Truth is, the game of bowls was the real wvinner on a perfect spring afternoon.
