A great game, but Del bows out

June 21st : Playing in the Area semi final of the National Mens Champion of Champions competition, Del travelled to Gerrards Cross to take on England International Tom McGuiness. On a green that was as good as you could ever get, Tom gained a 9 - 3 advantage after 8 ends and extended his lead to 9 shots at 15 -  6. Del fought back tenaciously, and narrowed the lead to just two shots at 15 - 13. However, he was unable to maintain the momentum and shook hands with the final score 21 - 13 in Tom's favour. An excellent game of bowls.
