August 26th: With the persistent hot weather and the World Cup football, many games in the Ray Keen League this season were subject to being rearranged. This resulted in a thrilling finale for the Risboro B squad in Central League Division 3. With 3 games scheduled on successive evenings of the 24th. 25th and 26th August and with 4 of the 6 teams still in with a chance of topping the league, the cards turned up trumps for us and we ran out League winners by shot difference of 3.
In Division 1, Risboro Robins won 4 of their 6 games and finished 4th to winners Crendon Evans Above.
Our other squad, Risboro Raiders finished 3rd in Division 4.
