Samuels Cup : In the semi finals, Tony Liggins beat Graham Barlow by 21 shots to 5. Roger Lawson had a walkover, Mike Peck unfortunately being injured and unable to play.

Tombs Plate : In an excellent first semi-final, Tony Liggins and Del Behenna were nip and tuck all the way through. After 27 ends it was 20 -20, but Tony nailed the 28th end to reach the final. In the other game, Mick Bailey beat Sue Ablett, 21 - 12.

Wightman Cup : 2 close semi finals in the 2 wood singles championship. The first went to an extra end, with Richard Beckett sealing a final place by 14 shots to 13 over Richard Ferguson. The second saw Del Behenna outlast Tony Liggins , 14 shots to 10.
FINAL : RICHARD BECKETT V DEL BEHENNA - SATURDAY 14th September 10 am. Marking : Sue Ablett.
Handicap : In the first semi, Lorraine Dare (0) , starting +7, maintained her lead until the 12th end, but finally succumbed by 21 shots to 13 to Del Behenna (7). The other semi was a quite incredible game. Tony Liggins (4) took no prisoners and won the first 9 ends to establish a 16 - 0 lead. Mick Bailey (4), to his great credit, did not wave the white flag and remarkably led 20 - 19 after the 25th end. But no fairy tale ending for Mick as Tony snatched the 2 shots required on the 26th end to reach the final.

Championship : The first semi saw Alan Butler beat John Stallwood 21 - 11 to reach his first singles final. Defending his title, Del Behenna recorded a 21 - 6 win against Mick Bailey.
FINAL : ALAN BUTLER V DEL BEHENNA - SATURDAY 14th September 2 pm. Marking : Tony Carthy.
Pairs Championship : First semi, Graham Barlow and Del Behenna ran out 28 - 13 winners over Clive Walters and Steve Woodley (Steve replacing the injured Ray Rouse). In the second semi, Norman Gray and Mick Bailey beat Mark Baxter and Mike Peck, 21 - 12.

Vincent Cup : The 2 wood pairs semi's saw Syd Attridge and Mike Peck the winners by 19 shots to 14 over Roger Lawson and Dennis Robertson. Phil Hughes and Del Behenna were beaten 18 - 14 by John Stallwood and Mick Bailey
