August 18th : Our final Mid Bucks League game of the season and we welcomed Cheddington to our green. A very enjoyable encounter saw Risborough come out on top by 100 shots to 77. With 3 out of the 5 triples winning, the points score was 8 - 2 in our favour. Brendan McGinty, Graham Barlow and Richard Ferguson were our best triple, winning their last 6 ends by 13 - 0 to gain a 29 - 14 win.
This game saw Dennis Robertson step down after 40 years as ourTeam Manager. The Club owes Dennis, a member for 54 years, immense gratitude for his unwavering contribution to the job of putting out teams to represent us in both the MBL and for many years, the Bucks County Cup. It was so fitting that he retired with a win.
